We’re seeking an experienced Lead Product Analyst to join one of our biggest products — Setapp.

Setapp is MacPaw’s subscription-based app service for macOS and iOS. It provides access to 240+ Mac and iOS apps for daily tasks covering productivity, lifestyle, web development, Mac maintenance, creativity, writing, education, and personal finance.

 

As a Lead Product Analyst, you will join our Marketplace team - the biggest product team in Setapp. The team focuses on managing and growing the marketplace, including app discovery, user onboarding, and optimizing the user experience on both web and desktop platforms. You will work with the Product Team to ensure that users can easily find, purchase, and engage with apps, thereby boosting sales and user satisfaction.

 

We are a bunch of bright and creative people, including PMs, designers, a Product Analyst, a PMM and a UX Writer. As part of the team, you will be responsible for exploring and analyzing behavioral data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve user experience and product performance and managing a small team of analysts. This role requires a balance of individual contribution, where you'll be working directly with data and analysis as a senior analyst, alongside leadership responsibilities to guide and mentor your team.

In this role, you will:
  • Ensure and expand data literacy in the team, and provide the Product team with consistent and quality analytical data for decision-making processes
  • Use quantitative methods to find bottlenecks and opportunities
  • Look for insights, and investigate rootcause
  • Сooperate with the team on storming and validating hypotheses
  • Work closely with product managers to develop and measure key metric
  • Support our tracking system and take part in analytics adaptation to GDPR compliance
  • Mentor junior colleagues

Skills you’ll need to bring:
  • You possess the skill to comprehend and address loosely defined problems, generating pertinent solutions and actionable insights that steer product development decisions
  • 4+ hands-on experience in analytics, at least 2 of them - in product analytics
  • Solid knowledge of SQL
  • Full proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI etc.)
  • Mentoring experience is a must
  • Experience with experiments planning and analysis
  • Profound knowledge of statistics and probability theory
  • Solid understanding of main SaaS metrics and unit economy
  • Intermediate+ level of English and desire to improve it
  • You are result-oriented and a team player
  • You have the courage to challenge the status quo 

As a plus:
  • Knowledge of Python/R
  • Experience with web analytics (GA/GTM, understanding how web analytics and web tracking work)
  • Experience with analytics adaptation to GDPR compliance
  • Experience with  mobile apps analytics (Firebase, AppsFlyer)
