Now Vira leads the areas of engineering, innovation, information security, infrastructure and internal IT at MacPaw, overseeing a team of over 180 engineers. Vira's leadership was critically tested during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Staying in Kyiv with her team, she ensured MacPaw's stability and continued the team's expansion under extraordinarily challenging conditions. In two years since the start of russian full-scale invasion began, she has grown MacPaw engineering team by over 20%.
- Vira is committed to DEI initiatives and takes part in the women in the tech communities. She nurtures future tech talent by mentoring at Ukrainian initiatives like Divchata STEM, launching such projects as support for open-source projects or introduction of programming in Ukrainian schools. As a tech expert, Vira was a speaker at the RSA Conference in 2023, JNUC in 2022 and the MacAdmins podcast.
- She commented on ComputerWorld, BBCWorld, The Verge, ZDNet and DarkReading. She has the expertise to talk about women in tech, macOS/iOS application development business, AI solutions implementation, cybersecurity, integration of innovations and optimization of engineering team organization.
- In 2022, Vira was recognized as one of Forbes Ukraine's top 25 women in IT.
