Manage similar photos
(Updated: )CleanMy®Phone recognizes similar photos as sets of alike or almost identical photos taken at short intervals, such as shots of the same scene or object from different angles. When organizing your photo library, the app arranges your photos in categories and puts similar photos in a separate group—Similars—within each category.
Besides, CleanMy®Phone conveniently groups all similar photos under the Similars shortcut where you can review and clean them up all at once without the need to drill down each category individually.
To review and remove similar photos:
On the tab bar, tap Organize.
If you open CleanMy®Phone for the first time after installation, you have to scan your photo library—tap Scan, grant full access to Photos, then wait for the process to finish.
Next time you open the app, it'll automatically spot and show new media files in Photos (if any). Also, CleanMy®Phone monitors and detects any newly added photos and videos when it runs in the background.
Do one of the following:
To manage all similar photos in one place, tap the Similars shortcut.
To deal with similar photos in a specific category, tap the category and see the Similars group.
Swipe through each set of similar photos and select the ones you want to remove.
TipTo take a closer look at a photo, tap it to open full screen. You can then enhance the photo, add it to an album or Favorites, view its metadata, share it, or save it to Sensitive.
Tap Clean, then tap Delete to confirm.
Review summary, then tap Continue.
Tap the Close button (

That's it—now you only have pictures that matter most to you and you've freed up extra space on your device.
